Full Itinerary
Overview
Day 1: Arrive at Kilimanjaro Airport - transfer to Arusha town for overnight
Overnight at Kahawa House on Bed & Breakfast Basis.
Meal preferences: lunch & dinner at a local restaurant in town or hotel
Day 2: Tarangire safari lodge
Depart with your naturalist driver guide with picnic-lunch to Tarangire National park; Tanzania’s third largest National Park & Sanctuary for elephants. Game drives inside the National Park. In the afternoon continue to you camp for dinner & overnight.
Day3: Tarangire-Serengeti-katikati camps
Morning to transfer Serengeti and afternoon Game Drives in Serengeti National Park. Serengeti forms together with Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve; Africa’s most famous wildlife park. The annual wildebeest migration (coined the great migration) through both of these parks, is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet – with more than million animals following the rain.
The game viewing doesn’t end here: large prides of lions, elephants and giraffes in the grasslands, gazelles and elands just to mention a few. In the afternoon return to your camp and enjoy a private Sundowner with your group.
Day 4: full day Serengeti-katikati camps
After your breakfast at the camp, we’ll drive to Seronera for a full day game drive at the central part of Serengeti still viewing the great migration. Late in the afternoon, we’ll drive back to the lodge for your dinner and overnight.
The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the big five named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion: the Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard: these reclusive predators are commonly seen in the Seronera region but are present throughout the National Park with the population of around 1,000. African Elephant
Day 5: Serengeti - Ngorongoro crater marrera valley lodge
In the morning depart with picnic-lunch to Ngorongoro Crater. Descent into the Crater to view game on the vast grasslands of the crater-floor. Spectacular animal life can be found throughout the year due to the permanent availability of grass and water. Local wildlife includes black manned lion, the highly endangered black rhino, wildebeest, zebra, elephant, hippo, jackal and hyena. In the afternoon continue to Karatu.
Day 6: marrera-lake manyara park- then drive back to Arusha where you will be dropped off at your hotel or airport
With picnic-lunch we’ll drive to Lake Manyara National Park for a game drive and in the afternoon, drive back to Arusha for your drop off at the Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight to your other destination or back home.
Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants
