A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (which I originally featured in this post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I thought it was time for a full review! I’ve also broken them in well that I can confidently speak to their craftsmanship, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll see broken down further.

Where can I find a pair like yours?

I grabbed mine from Cettire when they had goose sneakers a great deal going on.

I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were at my door by April 30th, so the shipping was really quick – definitely a bonus

How much do they go for?

Back in April, I managed to get them for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.

You can expect to pay between four hundred bucks and $1,700 depending on their uniqueness.

Are they true to size?

They ran true to size for me — I usually wear a size 6, and I went with a European 36.

They haven’t stretched much, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up a size

Is the comfort worth it?

They required minimal break-in time..

How durable are they?

Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the leather hasn’t stretched. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.

How are they vs. other brands?

Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I’ve tried others like Vejas, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. They have a hidden arch lift that adds support and height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Absolutely gorgeous.

Would you recommend them?

Totally! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re expensive, so getting them with a promo is worth it. Still, I think they’re worth a few hundred bucks, especially if you get a pair you love. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also be smart.

How is the fit?

They’re true to size in my experience, at least for me. Since they keep their shape and they don’t come in half sizes, I’d recommend sizing up.

How comfy are they?

Honestly, they feel great, and only took a few hours to break in.

How durable are they?

They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they still look great. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong.

Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
